Dear SES Families,
I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer! I am excited to welcome your children back to Saugatuck next month.
Here are a few important dates for upcoming events at SES. More information about all of these events will be sent later this summer.
Wednesday, July 31: Annual SES Summer Reading Family Meet-Up at the Westport Library from 4:30-5:30 p.m. All families welcome! Feel free to bring your summer reading challenge list to celebrate all of your summer reading thus far. Please note that an adult must accompany all children (this is not a drop-off event).
Wednesday, August 21: PowerSchool opens to parents at 3:00 p.m. - class assignments available
Monday, August 26: Getting ready for the new school year!

Tuesday, September 10: Saugatuck Principal’s Coffee at Compo Beach (10:00am)
Friday, September 20: Professional Development Day for staff, no school for students
Tuesday, September 24: School Picture Day AND Back to School Night Grades K, 1, 2 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, September 25: Back to School Night Grades 3, 4, 5 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Thursday, October 3: Rosh Hashanah, no school
Friday, October 18: Early Release Day for students, Professional Development afternoon for staff

Don’t forget your school supplies! Please review the elementary school supply lists for grades K-1 and 2-5. We ask that all students bring the required supplies to school when they return. You can shop for these items on your own or utilize the convenient method for ordering school supplies below. If you decide to order the School Supply Box, remember to order soon! Kits will be delivered directly to your home. You can choose to bring them to Meet the Teacher Day or on the first day of school, with your teacher providing guidance on the best timing for this.
