Dear Saugatuck Families,

Tomorrow, Friday September 3, we will begin to utilize FastLane, which is a feature in School Dismissal Manager.  This feature helps to make our carline pick up more efficient.

We will not use the self-check in feature this year (a.k.a. “the blue button”).  NEW THIS YEAR: we are utilizing a number key system to check each car in.  This afternoon, your child(ren) will come home with one or more dashboard signs that include their name, the name of the adult picking them up, their teacher and a 6 digit number.  Please place this sign on the passenger side of your vehicle.

When you pull into the carline for pick up, a SES adult will input the 6 digit number into an iPad which sends a signal to dismiss your child.  Your child will come out and go directly to your car.  

Each adult that is authorized to pick up your child has an unique 6 digit number.  These numbers are also listed in your SDM account.

Please note that we will no longer have “walks ups” at dismissal.  If you wish to walk with your child, or will be using a bicycle, please enter their dismissal as an exception and include that information.  Then meet them on the side of the school by the bike rack.

Once again, PLEASE check your School Dismissal Manager settings to ensure your child is entered correctly.  You can change their weekday dismissals to a recurring dismissal for that day (e.g. every Monday pick up).  If your child will be a pick up every day, you must designate that for each of the 5 week days.
