Our third graders are diving into life science!

They’re learning how an organism’s survival depends on its ability to meet its needs in a specific environment. As part of this exciting unit, students are following the journey of an orphaned baby orca.

Today in the science lab, they stepped into the role of marine veterinarians—conducting tests, analyzing results, and deciding whether the baby orca was healthy enough to be reunited with a pod in the wild. Hands-on learning at its best!
