Saugatuck Elementary School was delighted to host award-winning author Jasmine Warga for our 4th and 5th graders. In the weeks leading up to her visit, 5th graders in the library’s Makerspace designed imaginative Mars Rovers inspired by her novel, "A Rover’s Story," while 4th graders collaborated with Ms. Lasto in art to create beautiful paintings based on her mystery, "A Strange Thing Happened in Cherry Hall." During her visit, Jasmine captivated students with stories about her writing process and led a small group creative writing workshop, where students practiced bringing their own ideas to life. It was a truly unforgettable day that celebrated creativity, storytelling, and the joy of writing at Saugatuck!
